BRIT School Chair of Trustees Josh Berger Hosts Fundraiser Event At Ronnie Scott’s

Former students Katie Melua and Olivia Dean Perform. From Sitting Maths A Level Earlier in the Afternoon, Rising Star Sam Wilkinson Closes the Show

Josh Berger CBE - Founder and Chairman of Battersea Entertainment and Chair of Trustees of The BRIT School (pictured below) and Stuart Worden, Principal of The BRIT School, hosted a fundraiser at iconic music venue Ronnie Scott’s in aid of raising funds for the school.

BRIT alumnae, Olivia Dean (2023 Mercury Prize & 2024 BRIT Award nominee & 2023 BBC Music Introducing Artist of the Year) and multi-award-winning Katie Melua (the first BRIT School alumna to sell one million albums) performed, along with recent graduate 18 year old Sam Wilkinson. 

Funding is urgently needed to continue to provide free world- class arts education, industry-standard facilities, wrap-around pastoral care and unique career opportunities offered to every one of the 1,400+ young artists and to safeguard the future of the state school that has launched household names including Grammy Award winner Adele, Libera Award winners black midi, MOBO award winner FKA Twigs, Sunday Times best-seller Kae Tempest, Evening Standard Theatre Award winner Cush Jumbo OBE, six-time BRIT Award winner RAYE and Hollywood actor Tom Holland currently starring in Romeo and Juliet in the West End.
