Key Stage 4 Self-Isolating Material
Thank you for informing us that your child is required to self-isolate. Please be advised that they are required to stay at home for 10 days if they are showing symptoms/have received a positive test. This is increased to 14 days if they have been in contact with someone who has had a positive test.
We appreciate that being away from school, particularly after an already extended time away from school is a significant challenge. In order to support your child, we have put together some support materials for the core subjects that will act as an independent tool to correspond with the lessons they would be having at school. Please click to link to take you to Google Drive
Please be advised that this work is not marked and will form no part of an assessment but will merely act as a tool to encourage learning from home.
Sadly, we are unable to offer widespread online delivery for our subjects whilst classes are going on but where this is possible, your child’s teacher will be able to invite you son/daughter to a live session. In many cases, students will also be able to access their learning on the google classroom for each of their subjects taught. These are regularly updated and of course, previous material is also available here.
If your son/daughter has additional educational needs and would usually receive in class support, the AEN team will do their best to support where they can and will work with your son/daughter to continue this via google meet where timetabling allows. If you have any questions regarding this, please contact our SENCO, Simon Roberts sroberts@brit.croydon.sch.uk
When your son/daughter is able to return to The BRIT School, we MAY be able to include them in our intervention programme to help catch them up. The times of these interventions this term and the beginning of next term are:
- Tuesdays 3.50-4.30 English
- Thursdays 3.50-4.30 Science
- Fridays 1.30-2.15 Maths
We look forward to seeing you back soon in school soon.
