Subject Reports and Assessment

Assessment, Recording & Reporting Overview

Student attainment and progress data, along with attendance and attitude to learning information, is shared with parents, carers, and students securely through our iSAMs Parent and Student portals.

A full schedule for parents of academic assessment, and reporting key dates, can be downloaded at the bottom of this page.

Key Stage 4

Full Subject Reports and Parents' Consultation (Teacher comments and latest attainment data)

Students receive one Full Subject Report per academic year. In Year 10 this is issued at the end of the year following their formal mock examination season. In Year 11 this is issued in February following their formal mock examination season. The Full Report is issued at least 24 hours before the scheduled Parents Consultation.  The report contains detailed summaries from all of a student’s teachers on their areas of progress and development. Full Reports are issued online via our parent and student portal

The dates for the issuing of the Full Report, along with the Parents’ Consultation for each year group are listed below.  Parent's Consultations are held annually for each year group (with the exception of Year 10 where there are two) and are online events via our video-conferencing software.  Parents can book 10-minute online discussions with each of their child's teachers.

Short Subject Reports (Latest attainment & Attitude to Learning data only - no comments)

In addition to one Full Subject Report per year, students all receive a number of Short Subject Reports.  These reports are smaller than the full report and contain a summary of key academic information for parents to use to consider their child’s progress.

Post 16

Students receive three Subject Reports in Year 12 and two in Year 13 reporting on progress in Strand. In addition to this, where a student undertakes a Pathway, attainment and progress data, along with attendance and attitude to learning information will be included for that Pathway Subject.

Parents Consultations are held annually for each year group and are usually online events, via our video-conferencing software, where parents can book 10-minute online discussions with each of their child's teachers.  In addition to this, we have one year 12 consultation in February, which along with our year 12 Careers Fair, is on the school site.

The dates for the issuing of the Subject Reports, along with the Parents’ Consultation for each year group are listed below.
